I am thrilled to announce that Tre Piscine Cala del Cuore has officially been recognized and included in the census conducted by the Italian Environmental Fund (FAI). This remarkable achievement, accomplished through an impressive 3,300 votes, grants the site a well-deserved place among the FAI-protected locations. It is a result achieved thanks to the unwavering commitment of the Next association, the 15 signature collection centers that joined us for over six months, and the countless citizens and visitors who wholeheartedly supported the candidacy.
I am excited to share that Tre Piscine Cala del Cuore, the landart environmental conservation project I started in 2017 with the Next Association, has been nominated for the 2022 national census of the Italian Environmental Fund. Despite its potential, this unique location has been abandoned and lacks essential measures for protection, enhancement, and safe access. Help us preserve it by voting it on the FAI website.
I designed the digital quarantine series in 2020 to sublimate the uncertainty of isolation that we all shared, but that each of us has experienced differently. Like many of us, I feel how the widespread use of digital tools influences and distorts our daily lives. That’s why I’m happy to see this particular work on a volume that represents the contemporaneity of the Italian art and design scene. The book, now published by De Agostini, is the longest-running yearbook of Italian art.
